¿Por qué no hay funkos de Michael Jackson?
Funko ha traido a una gran mayoría de los más grandes íconos en el cine, la música y los videojuegos a su línea de figuras de vinilo, Pop!
Entre esta colección se encuentra el proclamado Rey del Pop, Michael Jackson. Funko ha lanzado cinco diferentes versiones del cantante durante todos estos años, pero al parecer no todo era armonía entre la marca y los herederos del patrimonio de Michael Jackson.
Los abogados del patrimonio de Jackson informaron a Funko sobre el uso de la imagen del artista, aun cuando el acuerdo de licencia había terminado hace un tiempo. Por consiguiente, el patrimonio ha solicitado que las figuras sean retiradas.
El acuerdo de licencia entre los herederos de Michael Jackson y Funko tuvo un periodo entre 2011 y 2013. No obstante, sus figuras todavía aparecen en el catálogo de Pop! a pesar de ser promocionadas hace casi una década atrás. Para cumplir con las peticiones del patrimonio, Funko retiró las figuras de su página.
